I’ve been working on a game for a while called Dead Century. It’s sort of an Indiana-Jonesy adventure Puzzle/RPG concoction. I think it’s clear to everyone at this point that women, people of color, and queer people of all sorts are represented pretty poorly in modern video games. To that end, I’m making an effort to “be the change” I want to see. The biggest example being that the player can choose from three different appearances for each of their characters, each with a different gender and ethnic background. It’s mostly a cosmetic difference but it’s my little contribution to what I hope will soon become a larger thing in the video game world. Oh there are also some gay kisses and badass ladies.
Anyway, if that sounds like a good idea, you can check it out here or just retumbl, which is free!
Dear humans, please help Kickstart my friend’s queer inclusive (among many other things) video game! Be the change and show the world that there is a demand for games that are inclusive!
God damn, I would reblog + support just for the utterly gorgeous artwork, but the inclusive cast is the icing on the cake
The VGX was like a party nobody came to. Just…wow.
The VGX is one of the weirdest and most underwhelming things I’ve ever watched. What is happening?
My rating? Hmm..I don’t really like number ratings or anything, but I do think it was really well done. Problems that Frozen had aside (a la having white characters again and all that), I really enjoyed the movie.
The voice acting and singing is great, Idina Menzel is just amazing. I was sad one of the characters didn’t sing much because the voice actor is a great singer. Not all the songs are hugely memorable, but the soundtrack and big songs are phenomenal in my opinion. I got chills (pun..not intended?) from some of the music.
Olaf isn’t as fucking terrible as I thought he’d be and actually has a hilarious scene/song.
The animation is gorgeous as always.
I gotta see that, what is your rating for it?
i saw the hunger games catching fire last night and it was so good, and i was on the edge of my seat.. i’m one of those annoying theatregoers who gets REALLY excited about the movies (u shoulda seen me and kat at pacific rim holy)… so i kept clutching my sister’s arm and gasping at certain parts…
I really want to see a movie with you now!! I was biting James’ hand and screaming during Walking Dead while he screamed in pain hahaha. I understand the intensity!
feelings about sisters
I can’t stop listening to “Let it Go”. Idina Menzel, you are damn good.
